Warranty

Our warranty applies only to physical goods purchased from daktentdump.nl or an authorized daktentdump.nl reseller. This warranty is provided to you in addition to your statutory rights, which remain unaffected.

1. What does the warranty cover?

This limited warranty covers defects in material and workmanship that arise under normal use of our products, during the “Warranty Period” (as defined in Section 3 below).

If you notify us of a material or manufacturing defect within the Warranty Period, we will investigate. If we can determine the defect and there are no signs that the product has been used other than as intended, we will, at our option and without charge for parts or labor, repair, replace or refund the defective part or the entire product.

When repairing or replacing, we may use new or reconditioned replacement parts.

2. Who is covered by the warranty?
This Limited Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the product, provided the purchase was made directly from daktentdump.nl or an authorized reseller.

This Limited Warranty is not transferable or assignable to any other person, whether upon future sale of the Product or otherwise.

The original purchaser must contact daktentdump.nl directly for warranty service. See section 4 below for more information on how to contact us.

3. How long does the warranty last?
Products* are guaranteed for 2 years** from the date of purchase.

See section 6 for information about the extended warranty.

*Exceptions: ex-demonstration products, returned and/or reconditioned products.

**Some product types have a shorter warranty period:

Any product with a battery - 12 months

4. How to Get Warranty Service

If you purchased your defective products directly from daktentdump.nl, please contact us via the contact form on our website and describe the problem in as much detail as possible.

You may be asked to provide proof of purchase date, as well as evidence of the problem, such as an image or video, as indicated by our staff at the time you report the problem.

If you purchased your defective products from one of the authorized resellers of daktentdump.nl, please contact the company where you made the purchase. They will then contact us about the problem.

In either case, we will decide, at our sole discretion, whether to:

provide instructions for simple repairs (not requiring replacement parts) or
ship replacement parts locally or
send an immediate exchange or
authorize you to return the product to us for service.

4.1 On-site replacement/repair
Most defective parts can be easily replaced on site. This is the fastest way to troubleshoot and perform repairs.

If we agree to the required replacement parts under warranty, we will ship the required parts to you at our expense and free of charge using the carrier and method of our choice.

If you are unable to replace the parts yourself, we can cover the reasonable costs of having someone do this for you (provided we can agree these costs with the third party in advance). You can also ask us to return your defective unit to our factory at your expense.

4.2 Return, Repair or Factory Replacement
If we determine that your product needs to be returned to our factory or headquarters for repair, refurbishment or replacement, daktentdump.nl will cover all shipping costs if the product is collected from an address in a country to which we currently ship. If you wish to collect the product from outside of these countries, you may be required to pay for shipping.

Returned products covered by this limited warranty will be repaired or replaced free of charge and shipped back to you at daktentdump.nl's expense using the carrier and method of our choosing.

Please note: Products where no defects can be found will be returned at your expense.

5. This limited warranty does not apply to:

Products resold by the product owner, i.e. second-hand products;
Consumables, such as batteries, fabric parts of products or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time unless the failure has arisen due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
Normal and reasonable wear and tear, as may be expected from normal use of a product, intentional damage, negligence or abnormal storage or use conditions;
Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and rust;
UV (ultraviolet) damage to fabric or other materials, where the damage is purely cosmetic;
Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, earthquake or other external causes;
Damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of daktentdump.nl or a service provider authorized by daktentdump.nl, or further damage caused by your continued use of the product after you have notified daktentdump.nl of such use under this warranty;
Damage caused by your failure to follow the oral or written instructions of daktentdump.nl regarding the storage, installation, use and maintenance of the product;
A product that has been modified in any way;
Any product from which branding has been removed or made illegible; and
Any product that has been used for commercial purposes, including but not limited to rental.

6. 5 year extended warranty for roof tent products.

For products in the roof tent category we offer an additional extended warranty of 3 years for material and manufacturing defects, provided that these defects arise during normal use and provided that the products have been used exclusively as intended.

The extended warranty commences upon expiration of the 2-year limited warranty and is not transferable to another person, regardless of whether the product is sold or otherwise.

During the extended warranty period, daktentdump.nl will (at its sole discretion) repair or replace defective parts at a minimum cost to the customer, i.e. the manufacturing or purchase price of the part + shipping costs.

The same limitations as stated in section 5 apply to the extended warranty.
